On 24th February 2006, M-PLIFY CEO Mr Hubert Schumacher made a presentation "7 Capital Sins of Crisis Communication" in front of members of the Civil Communication Planning Committee (CCPC) of NATO countries. This presentation took place at a seminar hosted by the Luxembourg Government.
In front of about 30 people representing more than 15 NATO countries Mr Schumacher explained the dangers and mistakes to avoid, when implementing technical alert and public notification solutions in relationship to crisis management projects. A 10 minutes live AlarmTILT demo was displayed during the presentation. An emergency scenario simulating a flood alert to key heads of municipalities was displayed, showing how an operator can in a few mouse clicks trigger alert procedures via emails, SMS text messages, voice alerts and faxes, and check in real time the various responses given by the notified destinations. Additional information was broadcast to selected targets, and an "end of alert" was launched to finalise the demo. Mr Schumacher described, how AlarmTILT could seamlessly broadcast alerts on automatic triggers originating from monitoring and early warning systems.
