Luxembourg Government selects AlarmTILT for crisis communication

The London terror bombing made it obvious: preparedness and efficient communication are key to crisis management - and those topics are at the heart of the AlarmTILT EMERGENCY solution. According to Carlo Simon, head of the national communication center, the advanced concept, the potential of the features and the openness of the platform made the government opt for the AlarmTILT EMERGENCY solution.

The solution, provided as a fully managed service, was up and running within hours. The Government intends to use the first 6 months to get valuable feedback from key users and reference emergency scenarios in order to validate the concept and define essential AlarmTILT enhancements to cope with the Government's future needs. At a later stage, AlarmTILT should be fully integrated into a dedicated governmental IP network.

To rapidly reach key personnel wherever they are and whatever communication means they use, AlarmTILT is connected to the most common communication networks (e.g. GSM, SMS, ISDN, IP). This is particularly important in crisis scenarios where aid workers, government services and civil experts have to communicate under the worst conditions. Redundant platforms and multiple network connectivity ensure that even in major network outages, emergency alerts and notifications will reach all relevant individuals.
