The « Société luxembourgeoise de capital-développement pour les PME S.A. » (CD-PME - capital-development for small and midsize companies) is taking a participation in the capital of M-PLIFY S.A. (www.m-plify.com). This young technology company develops and deploys crisis communication and incident management solutions under the label of AlarmTILT (www.alarmtilt.com). CD-PME is a risk capital company owned partly by the Société Nationale de Crédit et d'Investissement (SNCI) and partly by 5 local banks - Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de l'Etat, Fortis Banque Luxembourg, Dexia-Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, ING Luxembourg and Banque Raiffeisen.

Founded in 2000, M-PLIFY S.A. has turned its solutions AlarmTILT BC and AlarmTILT Emergency into a market leader in the areas of business continuity, incident handling and crisis communication. More than 100 customers and several thousands of users rely on AlarmTILT, among them the Luxembourg Government, the most important local authorities, but also large multi national organisations like Cargolux, Danone and Ferrero.

AlarmTILT is fully managed by the end user via a web admin interface and does not need any dedicated installation. The connectivity with existing fixed and mobile telecom operators for the routing and dispatching of voice alerts, SMS notifications or emails is integrated in the offered service. Thanks to this managed service approach that allows an easy to set up for the customer, M-PLIFY is able to offer its services worldwide.

The company has developed a platform called "Project Factory" in order to enable fast project implementations of AlarmTILT. Result of a research project, this tool helps M-PLIFY to quickly adapt AlarmTILT to specific customer requirements. For this project, M-PLIFY could rely on the support of the Ministry of Economics and Foreign Affairs, and a loan to innovation granted by the SNCI.

From the start M-PLIFY was co-financed by CD-PME financial instruments specifically built for the development of start ups. During a capital increase in December 2006, CD-PME has become a minority shareholder of M-PLIFY. Through this investment CD-PME confirms its confidence in M-PLIFY's team and in the further development capacity of the company.

For M-PLIFY the interest to count CD-PME among its shareholders has 2 advantages: on the one hand it benefits from the long experience of CD-PME in the financing and the follow-up of innovative companies, on the other hand, the shareholder CD-PME reinforces the financial base of M-PLIFY and makes it possible to target an international customer base.
